The Greenway of Lake Como

Your adventure begins bright and early, where you’ll meet with your private guide at the village of Colonno, by the church of San Michele, to begin the Greenway trail – a delightful 10.5km hiking path along the western shores of Lake Como. 

By following in the tracks of the Via Regina, an ancient Roman road that connected Como with the Alps, you’ll walk your way through the picturesque villages of Sala Comacina, Ossuccio, Lenno and Mezzegra, savoring one ‘wow’ panorama after another, before ending your scenic walk at the town of Griante. 

As you walk through a string of secret gardens brimming with fragrant flowers, ornate centuries-old villas, medieval churches, and charming alleys all framed by the glittering lake and the majestic alpine mountains reflected in its crystalline waters, you’ll understand why so many artists, composers, and writers have sought inspiration here.
